1,2,3... So Busy!!

Whew! What a busy week. Between both of the boys having ear infections, two days of snow and working on the low-budget kitchen remodel, there's hardly been time to breathe!

I had to take both of the kids to the ER clinic because they weren't feeling well. Call it mother's intuition, but you just know when something isn't right. They were both troopers and did so well at the doctors.

Unfortunately, this is Ben's second ear infection in less than a month, which means I'll mostly likely be taking him to his pediatrician later this week to see if he's a candidate to get tubes in his ears. We've been down that path before, but he got better before he had a chance to have the surgery.

On a lighter note, we had snow two days last week!! All the boys went out and made a snowman and I joined them for a snowball fight. While the kids didn't quite understand the concept of a snowball fight, John and I got in a few good hits each.

Our kitchen "remodel" is well underway. With fresh paint on the walls, new curtains on the windows, phase one is complete. Phase two is going strong-- we're painting our builder grade oak cabinets white (specifically Behr's Swiss Coffee) and adding knobs to the doors and pulls to the drawers. It looks great so far. We want to install hardwood floors and get a new stove; but those phases are long off in the future. Hopefully not too far off...

Welcome to my brand spankin' new blog! I've really been meaning to do start a blog for some time, but I've always come up with some excuse. Hopefully, the excuses to miss updates will be few and far between.


You may be asking yourself, "Amanda, why on Earth would you want to start a blog?" Well, I'm asking myself the same question. These are the answers I've come up with so far; I have a degree in Journalism and feel like I should be writing something, I live with three boys (my life is crazy, but I love it--most days) and I like to think that I'm interesting enough that someone would like to hear what goes on in my life. We'll see about that last one....
